Renovation and refurbishment of an iconic brick house in Oslo, originally designed in 1958 by Knut Knutsen and Bengt Espen Knutsen for industrial designer Tias Eckhoff.
The refurbishment aimed to preserve its architectural integrity while addressing significant technical challenges. Original materials were reused wherever possible, and new elements were crafted as faithful replicas of the originals in close collaboration with heritage authorities. Brick facades were repaired and reinforced, slate floors restored, and bespoke furniture created of reused materials.
